Following a storm event such as a wind storm, or tornado-force winds or strong thunder storms with hail, Lubbock can be flooded by “storm chasers.” A storm chaser is an out-of-state “contractor” who rush into a damaged area to try and take advantage of vulnerable homeowners. They offer quick repairs at low prices, but then disappear with your up front payment. Don’t be fooled by these traveling, unqualified contractors.
